Here we are on the brink of a hew year. Not just a new year but the second decade of the 21st century. Are you ready to face it as a True Child of God? Are you going to go out and party, play around, get drunk or stoned and say "I am going to live for today because tomorrow doesn't really matter"? Are you going to make a bunch of New Years Resolutions only to break them before the month is out? Here is a message that just might get you thinking in a different light, Join us as we say HAPPY NEW YEARS JESUS. It's now time to get about our Lord's business.

Hey kids, I found out it was a false message from the "BBC". I think it really came from the "Babbling Broadcasters Convention" and not from the "British Broadcasting Company". You can stop asking your parents if it's true that Christmas was canceled. Christmas will still come on the 25th of December.

Hey, wait a minute. Who has canceled Christmas? This came down from the "BBC" that Christmas has been canceled. Can you believe it? After all these years and decades of celebrating how can they do this to us? The children are expecting Santa to come down the chimney or sneak into the house and leave lots of toy and goodies for Christmas Day.

Oh...wait...that's not what Christmas is about, now is it. Christmas is about Christ and His birth. It's about giving from the heart, not the pocket book. Christmas is about sharing with your fellow man and leaving a smile and some joy as we travel through this land where God has placed us.

Over the next couple weeks we will take a look at Christmas and some of the traditions and end out with the REAL Christmas Story. It will be down-loadable so you can share it with friend and family as is with all our podcasts.

Where were you on "Black Friday"? Were you at the store when the doors opened looking for that "must have" bargain? Were you fighting the crowds to get that "once in a life time bargain"? Or were you still suffering the pleasures of Thanks Giving as you ate too much the day before? IF you can answer "YES" to any of the preceding questions you might want to take a listen to today's podcast and reexamine your views and outlook on Thanks Giving and the whole holiday season. As we get into the season of giving and sharing, what would God expect us to do to help out our fellow man/woman/child this year? Welcome to our Salute to those who serve. America, where do you stand? Who do you reach out to? It is time we gave a salute and thank you to those who serve to make it possible for us to have the freedoms we have. We at CRN would like to say THANK YOU to those who have served their country in what ever status in our Uniformed Services. Whether you were serving in war time or peace time you still served your country. You gave up a portion of your life to protect our freedoms, Thank You. Your family gave up a portion of their life while you served, Thank You. Some of you gave all, Thank You. All gave some, Thank You. If we at CRN could. we would like to shake each of your hands and say Thank You to each of you and your families. Please take this program as a small token of our respect and honor toward those who have served this country in times of peace and war, to those families of our Veterans, and to those who supported them in the Military no matter what branch of service.
