Romans 5:6-9 in the King James Version says:
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Sin separates us from God. God's peace and eternal life are lost to us because of our sins.
Romans 5:12-14 in the King James Version says:
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
Romans 3:23 says:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
God has provided to us a gift of New Life. This gift comes in the form of His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23 says about sin:
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
